Causes and how to fix.
Vibration in gas pedal and floor.
It gives a nice firm feel while applying the pressure however sometimes the vibration in brake pedal occurs when this pedal is deployed.
It s not a strong vibration but it s enough to make it feel like my foot is falling asleep and it makes it very uncomfortable when driving.
Lack of rigidity in the accelerator cable or linkage.
When you press the gas pedal the cable moves inside of its sleeve and pulls the throttle blade open.
It usually happens when the gas engine kicks in.
Vibration felt through floor.
Vibrations and resonances in the accelerator cable or linkage.
Did you check for a bent rim.
For the past couple of weeks i ve noticed a constant vibration in the gas pedal and floor board.
Under normal circumstances vibration in the engine will never reach the pedal because the whole sleeve moves with the engine.
When the pressure is applied by foot on the brake pedal with optimum force the system automatically strives to stop slow the vehicle.
The gas pedals in most modern cars connects to the engine via a cable which rides inside of a sheath mounted to the throttle bracket.
It could be due to a tire that s starting to fail due to tread separation a bent rim or a rim that s slightly out of balance.
You can feel it with the sole of your foot as it rests on the accelerator pedal but the pedal does not pulsate greatly in the depressing direction of the pedal.
If you rotate the new tires does the problem change.
